Made for dollars earned outside the US

Local cards get declined on foreign sites and abroad. NuviCard keeps your balance in dollars and gives you a Visa that merchants accept.

Receive

Top up by bank transfer in your local currency, or send USDT to your personal deposit address. Your balance is held in dollars and shows in the app within minutes.

Spend

A virtual Visa, issued the moment your identity is verified. Add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay and use it anywhere Visa is accepted: online, in apps, and in stores abroad.

Control

Freeze the card in one tap, set your own spending cap under the $10,000 monthly limit, and get a notification for every charge the second it happens.

Send

Send dollars to another NuviCard account in seconds, or withdraw to your bank account or wallet when you need the money somewhere else.

One virtual Visa, free to issue

No card number printed on the front. The full details live in the app and in your wallet, where you can copy them for online checkout.

How it works

Three steps from download to a working card. Most people finish in under ten minutes.

  1. Download the app

Available for iPhone and Android. Create your account with your email and country of residence.

  2. Verify your identity

Take a photo of your passport or ID card and a short selfie. Most checks finish in a few minutes.

  3. Fund your account and get your card

Make your first top-up and your virtual Visa is issued instantly. Add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay and start paying.

Built to the standard a card issuer expects

All accounts complete identity verification, and every transaction is monitored for compliance.

  • 3-D Secure

Online purchases at participating merchants are confirmed in the app before they go through, so a leaked card number on its own isn't enough to pay.

  • Two-factor sign-in

Signing in on a new device needs a one-time code as well as your email link. Nobody gets into your account with one of them alone.

  • Real-time monitoring

Unusual activity is flagged as it happens. You see every charge the moment it's made and can freeze the card before you write to us.

About us

NuviCard is built by a small team that has shipped consumer fintech products before. We launched the account and virtual card in 2026, starting with a limited number of countries. We add countries as our partners' licences allow, and we would rather open slowly than promise something we can't deliver.

Questions people ask before opening an account

More answers, including top-ups, withdrawals and lost phones, are in the help centre.

Is NuviCard a bank?

No. NuviCard is a financial technology company, not a bank. Card services are provided by licensed partners. Balances are not bank deposits and are not covered by a government deposit scheme.

Who issues the card?

The NuviCard Visa is issued by a licensed partner institution under a licence from Visa. NuviCard operates the account and the app.

Which countries can open an account?

NuviCard is available to residents of a limited set of countries in Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The full list is shown when you start sign-up. If your country isn't on it yet, leave your email and we'll tell you when it opens.

Do I need to verify my identity?

Yes, always. Every account completes identity verification before a card is issued. You'll need a valid passport or national ID card and a short selfie. Most checks finish within a few minutes, and some take up to one business day.

Can I add the card to Apple Pay?

Yes. Once your card is issued, add it from the card screen in the app, or directly in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Payments in stores and in apps work from your phone straight away.

What does NuviCard cost?

The virtual card is free and there is no monthly fee. You pay 1% to top up, nothing extra on dollar purchases, and 1.5% on purchases in other currencies. The full table is on the fees page.
